PN men awarded for gallantry performances during standoff with Indian Navy

RAWALPINDI, Aug 17 (APP): President Dr Arif Alvi has conferred military medals and honours upon valiant sons of the soil for their remarkable performance during recent standoff, a Pakistan Navy press release said Saturday.

During post the Pulwama standoff, Indian Navy deviously deployed its submarine against Pakistan.

Indian Soldier killed in Pakistan firing along LoC in J-K's Rajouri

Jammu, Aug 17 (PTI) An Army soldier was killed on Saturday as Pakistan violated ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling and small arms firing on forward posts and villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district, a defence spokesman said.

The latest ceasefire violation comes two days after Pakistan claimed that its four soldiers were killed in firing by Indian troops on their posts along the LoC.

President urges world to take notice of Nazism ideology of India’s ruling BJP

ISLAMABAD, Aug 16 (APP): President Dr Arif Alvi on Friday said Indian prime minister Narendra Modi of the ruling political party Bharatia Janta Party (BJP), was taking inspiration from Hitler and urged upon the world to take notice of the promotion of Nazi ideology.

The president in a tweet shared an article titled ‘In Modi’s Gujarat, Hitler is a textbook hero’ which was published in Times of India back in 2004 when the incumbent Indian prime minister was the chief minister of Gujarat.

Two die, eight injure in blast at Quetta’s Kuchlak Madressah

QUETTA, Aug 16 (APP): At least two people were martyred and eight others sustained injuries in blast inside a Masjid of Madressah at Killi Muhammad Qasim Khan near Kuchlak, 25 km away from provincial capital on Friday.

According to police sources, people were offering prayers of Friday when the blast was occurred inside the Masjid at Killi Qasim Khan’s Wazirabad area, leaving two person dead and eight injured on the spot.

The bodies and the injured are being shifted to Quetta civil hospital’s trauma center.

Firdous strongly condemns unprovoked Indian firing at LoC

ISLAMABAD, Aug 16 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Friday strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by the Indian security forces at the Line of Control (LoC) yesterday.

In a tweet, she said that the Indian aggressive posturing has threatened the peace of the entire South Asian region. “Those who embraced Shahdat for the defense of the motherland were pride of the nation and we all pay tributes to the martyred soldiers’
she remarked.

Hindu supremacist Modi govt. to miserably fail in smothering Kashmir movement: PM

ISLAMABAD, Aug 16 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said the “fascist and Hindu supremacist Modi government” in India would ultimately fail in its attempt to end the freedom struggle of Kashmiris.

“The Hindutva exclusivist creed of the Modi-led Govt with its fascist tactics in IOK (Indian Occupied Kashmir) will fail miserably in its attempt to smother the Kashmiri liberation struggle,” the prime minister said in a tweet.

Imran Khan said no force could deter the freedom struggle of a united nation.

Pakistan says Indian firing has killed 6 in disputed Kashmir

ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan’s military says Indian troops have fired across the Line of Control in the disputed Kashmir region, killing another soldier and bringing the death toll to six in less than 24 hours.

Army spokesman Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor in a tweet Friday said “another brave son of soil lost his life in the line of duty” in Buttal town.

Pakistan’s military and police said Thursday that Indian firing killed two civilians and three soldiers in Pakistan’s part of Kashmir, which is split between the nuclear-armed rivals and claimed by both in its entirety.

PM warns of another Srebrenica-like massacre if Kashmir genocide goes unnoticed

ISLAMABAD, Aug 15 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday said the Muslim community in Indian occupied Kashmir was facing grave danger of ethnic cleansing as the heavily militarized territory witnessed 12 days of curfew and complete communication blackout.

The prime minister in a tweet alerted the world about the presence of extra troops and sending in of the goons of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) by Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, who he said, was responsible for earlier genocide of the Muslims in Gujarat.

Pakistani PM visits Pakistan-controlled Kashmir amid tension with India

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday visited Pakistan-controlled Kashmir amid the ongoing tension with India after the latter scrapped the special status of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

During his visit, Khan said in an address to the legislative assembly of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir that his country will move the United Nations and the International Court of Justice to win rights for the people of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
