ISLAMABAD, Aug 11 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday while drawing attention of the international community on the worsening human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) questioned as whether the world would watch and appease as they did Hitler at Munich.

In a tweet, the prime minister said that the curfew, crackdown and impending genocide of Kashmiris in IOK was unfolding exactly according to Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) ideology inspired by Nazi ideology.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 11 (APP): Hundreds of people from all walks of life and communities held a protest rally at Young and Dundas Square Toronto under the auspices of Kashmir Global Council.

Apart from them, people from Sikh, local Canadians and Hindu communities also participated, said a statement received here Sunday.

The speakers highlighted the plight of the Kashmiris, their sufferings and Indian inhuman treatment and the unilateral scraping of the article 370 by India.

LAHORE, Aug 10 (APP): Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said on Saturday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was reflection of Hitler and Nazism so doors of dialogue with India had been closed.

Addressing a press conference here at PR headquarters, he said that operation of Samjhota Express and Thar Express trains (which run between Pakistan and India) had been suspended, adding that the trains would not restart untill he was minister.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 10 (APP): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi Saturday said with its unilateral and illegal steps, the Indian government was committing genocide in the Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) by trying to turn a majority population into minority.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the region was heading towards a very grave situation after India’s unilateral and illegal moves on the IoK.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 9 (APP): New German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck believes that Pakistan is a wonderful place to live.

The ambassador, who has recently taken charge of his office, in a video message posted on social media said: “I am honoured to represent the Federal Republic of Germany here in Pakistan- a fascinating, multi-layered, vibrant, complex and unique country in a region of great importance and relevance.”

Islamabad, Aug 8; GANASHAKTI: Pakistan will not allow Afghanistan to import goods from India via the Wagah border, saying that the transit trade was a bilateral and not a trilateral issue, according to a media report.

Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser to Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood said this during a press conference on Wednesday.

Lahore, Aug 8 : Maryam Nawaz, Pakistan's former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter, was arrested from the Kot Lakhpat jail here on Thursday in a money laundering case while she was on her way back from visiting her father, who is lodged in the same prison, an official said.

On July 31, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam was questioned by the anti-corruption agency officials in connection with the alleged money laundering and income beyond means charges against her and her family.

Islamabad, Aug 9 (PTI) Pakistan has decided to ban all cultural exchanges with India, including all kinds of joint ventures between the entertainment industry of the two countries after India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, a media report said on Friday.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Thursday launched a national slogan 'Say No to India', Dawn newspaper reported.

Islamabad, Aug 9 (PTI) Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday dashed to China to discuss with the Chinese leadership Indo-Pak tensions after India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier this week, India revoked Article 370 to withdraw the special status to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the region into two Union Territories --Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh.

Pakistan termed the Indian action as "unilateral and illegal", and said it will take the matter to the UN Security Council.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 08 (APP): Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Thursday that Pakistan’s leadership has shown complete solidarity with the hapless people of Kashmir facing worst human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupation forces.

Talking to media persons here the SAPM said that entire civil and military leadership was united on Kashmir issue and raised voice for them.
