Delhi; 04 March 2020 (UMM): MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath as the Madhya Pradesh Congress has alleged that BJP is trying to topple its government, and eight MLAs were held by the BJP in a luxury hotel in Gurugram, Haryana, and Congress ministers were not being allowed to meet them.
Four of the MLAs are from the Congress, two from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), one from Samajwadi Party (SP) and one Independent, and BJP was holding them in the hotel with the help of Haryana Police said Nath.
According to India Today March 4, 2020, Tarun Bhanot was on his way to ITC Grand Bharat hotel as of the last update. Meanwhile, two ministers of the Kamal Nath cabinet- Jitu Patwari and Jaivardhan Singh were outside the hotel.
Later around 2 am, MP minister Jaivardhan Singh said the Congress was able to get six of its MLAs out of the hotel and the party was in touch with the rest. Jaivardhan Singh said BJP leader Narottam Mishra was also seen outside the hotel.
A video showed Congress leaders Jitu Patwari and Jaivardhan Singh leaving the ITC hotel in Gurguram. In the video, they were taking BSP MLA Ramabai Parihar along with them, reported India Today.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kamal Nath asserted that there was no threat to his government. "The legislators are telling me that they are being offered so much money. I am telling the MLAs to take it, if they are getting this free money," the MP CM said.
