Kanpur: The Municipal Corporation has taken a decision to distribute as many as 16500 masks to its safai employees in view of the high incidence of the deadly corona cases.
Detailing the announcements Dr Amit Singh Nagar Swasthya Adhikari said that each safai Karamchari of the KMC would get three face masks and two pairs of gloves.
He added that these necessary items have been dispatched to all the six zones of the Nagar Nigam.
City dwellers have felt that sanitation would be improved after the distribution of the masks and gloves to the safai staff.
They did not fail to state that despite the prevalence of the coronavirus, the cleaning work has not sped up. They have urged the authorities concerned to look into the matter. Insanitation should not prevail at least during the rainy days.
