MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 16,048 in the past day, a record low since October 22, and the total case tally hit 3,967,281, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.
The average growth rate in new cases reached 0.41%.
The lowest growth rates were registered in the past day in the Tuva Republic (0.1%), the Chukotka Autonomous Region, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Magadan Region, the Nenets Autonomous Region and the Khakassia Republic (0.2%).
Some 1,175 COVID-19 cases were registered in St. Petersburg, 923 in the Moscow Region, 469 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 370 in the Voronezh Region and 360 in the Rostov Region.
Currently, 434,410 people are undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in Russia.
Recoveries
Some 19,884 coronavirus patients recovered in Russia over the past day and the total number of recoveries hit 3,456,210.
In the past 13 days the total number of recoveries surpassed new cases.
According to the crisis center, the total share of recoveries rose to 87.1% of all those infected.
As many as 3,657 patients were discharged in Moscow over the past day. Some 2,339 patients were released from hospitals in St. Petersburg, 950 in the Moscow Region, 558 in the Chelyabinsk Region, 495 in the Primorsky Region and 430 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Deaths
Russia confirmed 432 COVID-19 deaths versus 497 a day earlier, a new low since November 30.
The total death toll from coronavirus hit 76,661, according to the crisis center. The average mortality rate remained at 1.93%.
Moscow confirmed 64 coronavirus deaths over the past day. Some 39 deaths were registered in St. Petersburg, 33 in the Moscow Region, 17 in the Krasnodar Region, 15 in the Krasnoyarsk Region and 14 in the Altai Region.

Moscow registered 2,028 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, while the capital’s total case tally hit 943,724.
In relative terms, the increase in new coronavirus cases reached 0.21%. A day earlier, 2,214 COVID-19 cases were registered.
Over the past day, 64 patients died from coronavirus in Russia’s capital, bringing the total death toll to 13,896 (1.47% of those infected), according to the crisis center.
As many as 3,657 COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, while the total number of recoveries stood at 847,822. To date, 82,006 patients are receiving treatment in Moscow’s hospitals.
