MOSCOW, April 24. /TASS/: Russia confirmed 8,828 daily COVID-19 cases, bringing the total caseload to 4,753,789, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.
The growth rate stood at 0.19% in relative terms.
The number of the so-called active cases, meaning patients receiving treatment now, has gone down to 265,421.
Russia’s COVID-19 deaths rose by 399 over the past day versus 398 on the previous day, bringing the total death toll to 107,900. The mortality rate in relative terms remained at 2.27%, according to the crisis center.
Particularly, 59 deaths were registered in Moscow, 39 - in St. Petersburg, 17 - in the Rostov Region, 16 - in the Sverdlovsk Region, 15 - in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Some 9,254 patients recovered from COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, while the total number of recoveries hit 4,380,468. The share of recovered patients remained at 92.1% of all those infected.
Particularly, 1,879 people were discharged from hospitals in Moscow, 1,012 - in St. Petersburg, 511 - in the Moscow Region, 262 - in the Lipetsk Region, 213 - in the Voronezh Region, 211 - in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,541 over the past day compared with 2,502 on the previous day, bringing the total caseload to 1,077,783 since the start of the pandemic.
In relative terms, the Russian capital’s COVID-19 incidence rose by 0.23%.
In the past 24 hours, 59 coronavirus deaths were registered in Moscow, while the total death toll reached 17,982, according to the crisis center.
Some 1,879 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, while the total number of recoveries hit 981,882. Currently, as many as 77,919 people are receiving medical treatment in Russia’s capital.
