MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia increased by 8,465 per day to 4,888,727, the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus told reporters on Monday.
In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases was 0.17%.
The lowest growth rates over the day were recorded in the Altai Republic (0.02%), in the Tyva Republic, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Khabarovsk Territory (0.04%).
In particular, 724 coronavirus cases were detected per day in St. Petersburg, 649 - in the Moscow region, 208 - in the Rostov region, 135 - in the Voronezh region, 121 - in the Saratov region.
The number of coronavirus cases in Moscow increased by 2,896 per day against 2,828 the day before to 1,119,284, the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus told reporters on Monday.
In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases, according to the headquarters, was 0.26%.
Currently, 272,174 people are undergoing treatment in Russia.
Number of recoveries
The number of Russians who recovered from coronavirus increased by 6,774 per day to 4,502,906.
The share of people who recovered, according to the headquarters, remained at 92.1% of the total number of infected.
In particular, 732 patients were discharged over the day after recovery in St. Petersburg, 440 - in the Moscow region, 200 - in the Rostov region, 195 - in the Saratov region, 188 - in the Pskov region.
The number of people who recovered in the Russian capital increased by 1,976 to 1,010,652 (90.3% of all infected). 89,739 people are currently undergoing treatment.

Number of deaths
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 321 per day against 334 a day earlier, this is the lowest figure since April 12. A total of 113,647 patients died from complications.
Conditional mortality (the final one can be determined only after the end of the pandemic) remained at the level of 2.32%, the headquarters said.
In particular, 30 deaths were registered per day in St. Petersburg, 17 - in the Samara region, 15 - in the Nizhny Novgorod region, 12 - in the Krasnodar Territory, 10 - each in the Perm Territory and the Sverdlovsk Region.
During the day, 56 deaths due to coronavirus were registered in Moscow. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 18,893 cases have died in the city, the headquarters said.
