MOSCOW, September 4. /TASS/: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia increased by 18,780 per day to 6,993,954, the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus told reporters on Saturday.
In relative terms, the number of cases increased by 0.27%.
In particular, 1,494 cases were detected per day in St. Petersburg, 756 - in the Moscow region, 512 - in the Sverdlovsk region, 479 - in the Rostov region, 462 - in the Perm region and the Voronezh region.
Currently, 552,072 people are continuing treatment in Russia.
Recoveries and deaths
The number of Russians who recovered from coronavirus increased by 18,737 per day to 6,255,475. The share of discharged patients, according to the headquarters, remained at 89.4% of the total number of those infected.
In particular, 1,385 patients were discharged over day in the Moscow Region, 1,228 in St. Petersburg, 811 in the Komi Republic, 659 in the Irkutsk Region, 508 in the Perm Territory.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 796 per day against 799 a day earlier to 186,407.
Conditional mortality (the final one can be determined only after the end of the pandemic) has increased to 2.67%, the headquarters said.
In particular, 35 deaths were registered per day in St. Petersburg, 34 in the Sverdlovsk region, 33 in the Krasnodar region, 28 each in the Rostov region and the Perm region.
Coronavirus in Moscow
The number of coronavirus cases in Moscow increased by 1,549 per day against 1,633 the day before to 1,573,813.
In relative terms, the increase in the number of cases, according to the headquarters, was 0.1%.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Moscow per day increased by 55 against 50 a day earlier. In total, 27,648 people died in the capital, the headquarters said.
The number of people who recovered per day increased by 1,356, to 1,453,242. Now, according to the headquarters, 92,923 people are continuing treatment in the city.
