Srinagar, 5 Mar 2019: Two Kashmiris were killed by Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, Army sources said Tuesday.

Indian security forces alleged that a gunfight broke out at Tral area on Monday with Kashmiri separatists. The security forces had cordoned off the area and launched an operation to flush out the separatists, they claimed.

According to the spokesperson of the Indian security forces, "A brief exchange of fire took place" between security forces and separatists in Tral area, resulting 2 deaths.

Independent bodies have yet to confirmed whether the two killed were actually separatists.

The resolution on Kashmir used phrases such as “Indian terrorism” and “mass blindings” by Indian security forces on protesting youth.

OIC had recommendations including an appeal to members of the OIC to mobilise funds for “humanitarian assistance to the Kashmiri people”.
