MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus death toll rose by 968 to 304,218 in the past 24 hours, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Sunday.
That’s the lowest daily fatality increase since October 11 and the third straight day the daily count of deaths from COVID-19 stays below 1,000. One day earlier, 981 deaths were reported. The relative lethality increased to 2.93%, according to the statistics. In particular, 71 fatalities were reported in Moscow City in the past day, 64 in St. Petersburg, 52 in the Moscow Region. 38 in the Krasnoyarsk Region, and 36 in the Voronezh region.
Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 23,721 to 10,392,020 in the past 24 hours. That was the slowest increase since September 29. The relative case growth rate was 0.23%. In particular, 1,565 cases were reported in the Moscow region; 570 in the Krasnodar Region and 564 in the Sverdlovsk Region.There are currently 828,031 active coronavirus cases in Russia.
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries grew by 37,285 over the past day to 9,259,771. The share of recovered patients hit 89.1% of the total case tally, according to the crisis center. Some 2,763 patients were discharged in the Moscow City; 2,994 in the Moscow Region; and 1,234 in the Voronezh Region.

Moscow City’s COVID-19 cases rose by 2,180 over the past day, compared with 2,714 a day earlier, and reached 2,019,602.
In relative terms, the COVID-19 incidence increased by 0.11% in the last 24 hours.
The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Moscow increased by 71 over the past day against 72 the day before and reached 36,420 (1.8% of all cases).
The number of recovered patients increased over the day by 2,763 to 1,855,083. According to the center, 128,099 people are undergoing treatment in the capital.
