MOSCOW, May 9. /TASS/: Russia’s coronavirus cases rose by 5,030 to 18,232,696 in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Monday.
Russia’s coronavirus growth rate was 0.03%.
As many as 1,218 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, down from 1,308 the day before. Hospitalizations declined in 42 regions of the country and rose in 34 regions.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 268 to 2,763,989 in the day, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s coronavirus cases increased by 312 to 1,522,591.
Coronavirus recoveries
Russia’s coronavirus recoveries rose by 5,959 to 17,609,357 in the past 24 hours, the crisis center reported. A total of 6,682 recoveries were confirmed on Sunday. According to data from the crisis center, 96.6% of coronavirus patients have recovered in Russia.
Coronavirus death toll
Russia recorded 103 coronavirus fatalities in the past 24 hours, the lowest daily number since September 28, 2020. The total death toll has climbed to 377,049. According to data from the crisis center, 2.07% of coronavirus patients have died in Russia.
