MOSCOW, May 14. /TASS/: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia grew by 5,047 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected to 18,255,337, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Saturday.
In absolute terms the increase in new cases equaled 0.03%.
The number of coronavirus patients taken to hospital in the past 24 hours amounted to 2,498, down by 0.3% compared with the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients decreased in 41 Russian regions and grew in 39 regions in the reporting period, according to the center. In another five constituent entities of the Russian Federation the situation remained unchanged.
As many as 7,378 coronavirus patients recovered in Russia over the past day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 17,640,979, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday.
On the previous day 7,257 recoveries were reported. The share of recoveries rose to 96.6% of the total number of infected, according to the center.
The number of fatalities related to the coronavirus increased by 107 in Russia in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths in the country to 377,571, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Saturday.
On the previous day 105 deaths were registered. The provisional lethality of the disease (the final one can be determined only after the end of the pandemic) remained at 2.07%, according to the crisis center.
