TEHRAN, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that resistance, endeavors and fearlessness are the secrets behind the victory of the Iranian nation and the Islamic republic over the enemies during the past four decades.
Making the remarks in an address to a meeting attended by Iran's Chief Justice Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei and other judicial officials, Khamenei added the enemies fail to realize what is the secret behind their disappointed expectations of seeing the collapse of the Islamic republic and establishment, according to the leader's website.
The leader noted that over the past 40 years since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, both in the 1980s and after that, the enemies have, on some occasions, been overwhelmed with joy and excitement, becoming hopeful and thinking that the Islamic Revolution and establishment are on the verge of collapse due to certain weaknesses and shortfalls, but their hopes have always been shattered.
He said if societies resist against enemies and fulfill their responsibilities, they will achieve victory and progress.
