Kanpur: A youth was seen climbing up the OHE Line near Barrrajpur railway station in Kanpur's town Shivrajpur on Anwarganj- Kasganj rail route on Friday morning.
After passing the train some distance away from the level crossing gate, people started making noise when they saw the young man climbing on the OHE pole.
People informed the police of the apprehension of an accident due to the 25 thousand kV current running in the OHE line.
When the police reached the spot, brought the young man down after persuading him to get down.
It was confirmed that he was mentally retarded. He was admitted to the Community Health Center as he saw injuries on his hands and feet.
Police station in-charge Jitendra Singh told that the young man was mentally retarded. He has been roaming in the town for several days.
In the morning on Friday he somehow climbed on the OHE pole of the railway, he has been taken down safely. His drama continued for about one hour, as reported.
