Kabul, April 10, IRNA – Afghan Minister of Defense and NATO Resolute Support announced that one fighter belonging to Afghanistan's Army and one foreign drone have crashed in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday.
According to the Afghan Minister of Defense, an MD-530 fighter has crashed when returning to Kandahar from a training mission.
The statement said that the crash has been due to a technical problem.
Also, an unmanned aerial vehicle of coalition forces crashed in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan, according to informed military sources, wrote Khaama Press News Agency.
The drone crashed earlier today after experiencing engine failure.
“One of our unmanned aircraft experienced engine failure and crashed in Helmand province today. We are working to recover it,” the sources said.
NATO forces arrived in Afghanistan in 2001 to restore peace, annihilate terrorists and improve welfare; however, not only have they failed to keep their promises, but they also had to negotiate with the Taliban that had been called a terrorist group for the past 18 years and NATO intended to destroy them.
