MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a phone call with Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hussein al-Sheikh that Russian nationals need to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.
"The conversation focused on how the situation is unfolding in the area of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, particularly on the ongoing widespread armed confrontation in the Gaza Strip. Lavrov underscored the need for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties, expansion of humanitarian aid to the Strip, and prompt evacuation of Russian citizens from the enclave," the ministry said in a statement.
