Satara, Aug 28 (PTI) Those who lack the spunk and might to fight are switching allegiance to the ruling parties, NCP leader Jayant Patil said here on Wednesday amid talk of local NCP MP Udayanraje Bhosale being on the way to the BJP.
Bhosale's cousin Shivendrasinh Bhosale recently resigned as NCP MLA and joined the BJP.
"Those who lack spunk and might to fight are leaving the party," Patil, Maharashtra NCP chief, said.
NCP chief Sharad Pawar treated Shivendrasinh like a son but the latter forgot it, Patil said.
"One has left. Now, the other (Udayanraje) is thinking on the same lines...Hope good sense prevails over those who are thinking of leaving the party," Patil said, without naming the Satara MP.
He was speaking at a rally, which was part of the NCP's 'Shivswarajya Yatra', a pre-election mass contact campaign.
Amid reports that he was going to join the BJP, Udayanraje Bhosale had recently said he will have to take decision "in the interest of people".
