Kanpur: It is an odd case of husband-wife alterçation dragged off on the road. As usual, the police had to intervene and brought them to an amicable understanding.
According to sources, one woman belonging to Bakevar in Fatehpur had married to a young man living in Naubasta area here. Like every couple, they had also developed big acerbic arguments on matters related to each other.
It was said that the husband was of shaky mind so he started doubting on the wife. This sharpness caused a rift between them which turned into a court case soon.
Disturbed with this entangled life the woman found a job in a shop existing at Kidwainagar.
On Monday she told the investigating police that her presence was sought in connection with the case at the Kutchery. While returning in the evening she found her husband was following her. He even reached at the shop where she worked. On her nagging, the husband started her abusing and slapping. In anger she shouted that appeared to the passers-by that he was a kind of scoundrel. They beat him up after tying him with a telephone pole.
With so much happening on the road the police was sure to come and take the situation control. On a phone, the police arrived on the spot and took both of them on the police station. After listening to their points the police brought them on an agreeing point.
The oddity of this incident was that the crowd took the husband as rogue and best him mercilessly. Even his wife beat him with tight slaps on the road.
