KANPUR: In Jajmau the goats are not selling on the main road this year. People are approaching them on the areas totally far from the wide road.
One such goat market can be found at the Saraiyya lane where the usual vegetable market is arranged twice a week. The name is an impaired form of Ram Rai Ki Sarai.
As the lane is not paved the way is quite rough. Sanitary conditions are also not good. The stink emanating from the drains remains unbearable.
Those who turn up at the goat market find the place quite unhygienic and crowded. They even resent that this area is not good for the sale of the goats. But others state that this was simply a temporary arrangement.
