India: Children tend to feel unrestricted on Independence Day

Kanpur: What remains worth noting today is the children's total freedom from online classes even. They passed the day in hitting the canvas ball with the bat on whatever space they managed to procure in the precincts of their residential area.

Talking to so many children between the age group of 10 and 13 years, what has been clearly learnt from their intermittent reactions was that they wanted to enjoy fully on this day.

On the choice of playing cricket, they said that it is the game that includes all of us and we play according to our own norms. No rule is followed during the play.

We even do not consider much about the clothes getting dirty this or that way, they stated gleefully adding that we thus manage to celebrate Independence Day with excitement. It is indeed a great day in our country's history, all said in chorus.

It is on this particular day we feel full freedom in doing what we like to perform. They did not further fail to mention that synonymous with the freedom this day remains as a day of recreational activities for us.
