India: Folding barricades curb access to Jajmau road

KANPUR: Folding barricades have shortened the width of the wide road in Jajmau here. Traffic has certainly been restricted. The barricading was placed across the road to stop people driving vehicles from getting through. 

Commuters willing to go to the Nai Chungi crossing are compelled to cover a long distance to reach there. Only the cyclists were anyhow able to move on both the directions. The bikes, scooty and cars were given enough space to move on only one side of the road. Even the roadways buses were moving from popularly called Tel Mill way. These are not parking at its previous spots.

The 150-feet road looks quite spacious in the absence of the crowd. 

The repairing work is also being done to complete the damage of the road. Machines have been put on service to mend the place. 

How long will the road be barricaded can not easily be told?

People were overheard saying that the wider road looks so dirty as the garbage has not been removed from the spot.
