Kanpur: These days unnecessary traffic jams on the Highways are proving to be a headache for Traffic police.

The problem arises owing to fatal pits on the Highways passing through the city.

There is no dearth of pits, trenches on the roads extending from Jajmau Pul to Ramadevi. The bridge is also covered with an awful view.

Almost every day there remain jams on the road extending from Jajmau to Rama Devi. The smaller stones are scattered all over the road. Waterlogging into the pits can also be seen.

Recently two youths riding two-wheelers slipped on the bad road and a fast-spreading truck crushed them.

Even the SP (Traffic) Basant Lal has sent a letter highlighting the worse condition of the road to the municipal corporation in recent days. As the roads come under the authority of National Highway Authority of India, the Nagar Ayukt A Tripathi forwarded the letter to the authority concerned.
