India: What precisely was inexact in KMC tender system!

Kanpur: What precisely was faulty? This is a matter of study and scrutiny. This is what the Nagar Nigam Zone-3 executive engineer Ranvir Singh has told and talked about the enquiry into the whole matter.

Does it not indicate of some anomaly in the start of the work before opening of the tender regarding the laying down of interlocking tiles in a street of Babupurwa locality coming under Ward number 105.

The work was estimated to be of Rs 9.98 lakh; three tenders were also issued. Without finalisation of the tender, the materials like sand started downloading at the site.

Reports also stated that such sort of matter was earlier raised on year ago too. It was related to a development work  in regard to development work in Darshanpurwa locality.

According to the norm, first and foremost the tender is published, then the contractor is selected and lastly, the work order is issued. However, the standard criteria seemed to have not been rigidly followed. The tender system of the Nagat Nigam remains in controversy, several maintain.
