India: Consumers deposit electricity bills on Second Saturday

Kanpur: Month's second Saturday happens to be normally a holiday but the electricity department did a big service by opening its cash counter on a particular day.

When the consumers reached the sub-station office near JK Colony in Jajmau they were relieved to find the non-closure of the cash deposit counter. They easily deposited their respective bills without any trouble. 

There was no crowd and the consumers paid the amount of electricity bill without standing in the long queue.

The electricity bill has been issued earlier this month, whereas it was generated not so early in September. Consumers guessed there would have been some genuine reason behind this haste.

However, they also asserted if the cash counter had not opened on Saturday, the consumers had to wait for extra days to deposit electricity bill. In the meantime, one person sitting inside the specific room made for  said that the cash deposit counter remained open for the consumers' facility.
