India: Ghatampur bypoll: Triangular fight looks imminent

Kanpur: All the three main political parties have fielded its respective candidates in the fight for Ghatampur assembly seat which fell vacant owing to the death of the BJP MLA Kamla Rani. The election tempo now gradually picks up at the constituency with the filing of the nomination papers. The general public realises the value of voting power by politicians' distinctly changed behaviour with them.

Rejecting all the guesses about the finalisation of the candidate's name the BJP gave the ticket to Upendra Paswan, a strong contender for the seat.

While the Congress party has fielded Dr Kripa Shanker in the by-election. The BSP has brought Kuldeep Sankhwar into the field.

With clearance in name of the candidates, the supporters have also learnt of the trends at the by-poll this time. One fortnight is still to go in the polling date.

All the electioneering have to be completed during the residual days. How will the deft politicians take intelligent moves in defeating the rival party remains a weighty question?
