RAMALLAH, Dec 5 (NNN-WAFA) – A 13-year-old Palestinian boy on Friday (yesterday), died of his wounds, sustained in clashes between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian demonstrators in the West Bank, medical sources said.
Ali Abu Alia was critically wounded in the abdomen, by an Israeli soldier’s gunfire and died several hours later in a hospital in Ramallah, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press statement.
Earlier on Friday, Palestinian eyewitnesses said that clashes broke out between dozens of Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers in al-Mughayyir village, north-east of Ramallah in the West Bank.
They said that the soldiers fired live ammunition, rubber bullets, and teargas canisters, to disperse the demonstrators.
Meanwhile, Palestinian paramedics said, they treated dozens of demonstrators, who suffered from suffocation, after inhaling tear gas fired by the Israeli soldiers.
Mayor of al-Mughayyir, Amin Abu Alia, told reporters that, four more demonstrators were injured by Israeli rubber gunshots, during the clashes.
