India: Wide road reduces narrower on market day in Jajmau

Kanpur: A wider road on main Jajmau area does not find a crowd less space on Sunday being a holiday. The road connects the road leading up to the Circuit House and even farther towards the city's Mall Road.

The reason for the big crowd is the weekly market. It occupies the space by the pathway sellers who covers the vacant space on the roadside without caring of the hindrance to the smoother traffic.

As a tradition of the weekly market goes on the jam occurs unnecessarily on the road. The sellers encroach the space on the road.

This causes slow driving of vehicles like roadways bus, trucks and other loaders. When these move on at slower speed, the two-wheelers can not escape from this fun.

Sometimes it is hard to walk in between the narrower space left. Several motorists prefer not to opt for the crowded road and follow another way to reach the destination.

The market begins from the roadside lane and lengths up to the road. On the surge of the crowd, one youth told it causes utmost irritation but what can be done?
