India: Ring road & 4-way road project to refine traffic pace in Kanpur

Kanpur: In order to bring improvement in the unmanageable traffic on the city roads, the ring road project appears to be a better option.

Giving details about the proposal, the divisional commissioner, Dr Rajsekhar said that there was a plan for the four-lane road construction and ring road project.

The ring road alignment project has been passed. What is being awaited is approval from the road transport and highways ministry.

The outer ring road covers the 93-Km length that will connect with various highways. It will help heavy vehicles to pass through without much fuss.

Thus, not only the speed of heavy vehicles will enhance but they will also not enter within the city limits.

Apart from the ring road, various other projects with integrated development will also be planned.

As regards the progress of the Vishdhan-Armapur 80-Km four-lane road construction it has been upheld that it will help vehicles to link with the expressway straight, thereby making the road journey up to Agra and Delhi quite easier.
