Kanpur: Toppers are disappointed while the average students are happy at their results. The average students were declared pass based on the previous year's performance. Where internal examinations held the marks fluctuated. The results of both the classes were declared on Friday.
Class 10th and 12th students belonging to the Council for the Indian Schools Certificate Examinations have secured marks without appearing at the examinations.
Complaints about fewer marks in EVS were reported from various schools. Those students who were average in studies looked happier at obtaining better marks.
Though the results remained far better, there were complaints about unsatisfactory marks of studious boys.
Three to five marks were reduced from the marks obtained in the internal evaluation. One student of a city's prominent school grumbled that she got fewer marks in a particular subject.
Coordinator KV Vincent said if the parents were disagreeing with the marks obtained by their respective wards the matter will be put before the Council.
He also maintained that it was the first time the results have been prepared this way. A few schools conducted internal examinations but most of the schools decided on the basis of student's previous year performance This has benefited the average students indeed.
