26 July 2021; MEMO: Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah said there will be no more wars in Libya and that his government will provide Sabha, a region in the south, with all necessary services to alleviate the people's suffering, local media reports.
Dbeibah said at a cabinet meeting in Sabha yesterday that his government is committed to securing the southern region with a plan in place to support the security apparatus to fight crime and terrorism and secure the elections on 24 December.
The government will allocate 500 million dinars ($180 million) to the Health Ministry's battle against coronavirus, he said, this includes providing oxygen to all quarantine centres. Vaccines and medicines will be arriving gradually to Libya, he explained.
He also said his government was working to end the shortage in medical supplies in the south by enlisting support from the north.
Last March, Libya's interim unity government came into power replacing two rival administrations, one based in the capital Tripoli and the other in the country's east.
