Kanpur: In the female ward of the district hospital on Wednesday, the women noticed someone in a burqa and salwar-kurta that caused an uproar.
The person's body language raised suspicion that made the patients raise an alarm, according to the news.
A look at the toes revealed the person was a man! When the patient raised an alarm, he ran to the emergency ward.
When he was trying to scale the boundary wall, the hospital staff caught him. He was later handed over to the police to save him from the wrath of angry patients.
The driver works for a female doctor posted at a community health centre, as was learnt
On September 8, the driver dropped the doctor at the hospital and entered the female ward. News sources said the man was supposedly wearing female undergarments.
Police officer Arun Kumar Singh said the man's parents said he was mentally unsound.
The accused said he wore a burqa because he wanted to go to the ladies' toilet.
Sources said he was already wearing a kurta and a salwar.
The man denied that he was caught and handed over to the police. "I went to a police constable on my own," the man said.
