21 Dec 2021; MEMO: Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails have decided to boycott Israeli courts from next month, Arab48 reported yesterday.
The announcement was made during a press conference held in the head office of the PLO's Prisoners and Freed Prisoners Commission in Ramallah.
According to the announcement, all Palestinian prisoners announced they would support the measure carried out by administrative detainees who are held without charge or trial for indefinite periods.
In a joint statement, the Palestinian rights group said that the boycott "is a necessary step," and called for popular support and media coverage for it.
The prisoners also stated that they might start a collective open-ended hunger strike if the Israeli occupation did not accept their "just demands which keep up with international laws and conventions."
Head of the PLO's Commission, Qaddura Fares, said: "The Israeli aggression on the Palestinian female prisoners, which is represented in beating them, lynching them and isolating them is unprecedented."
