India: Pregnant woman was found murdered in Kanpur area

Kanpur: A six-month pregnant woman was found murdered on Sunday afternoon. The woman's body was found in a bloodied condition in a cot inside a mosquito net.

When the woman's husband reached home with the daughter, he was surprised to see the dead body of the wife.

Police and forensic team reached the site & inspected the spot. The body of the woman was sent for post-mortem.

Lalit Paswar, a resident of Tulsia in Bidhnu police station area, engages himself into a private job. He was first married 15 years ago to Geeta Devi, a resident of Kisakheda. Geeta died of illness 11 years ago.

Geeta had a daughter, Tamannaah, when Tamanna was two years old then. Lalit married Sarojini (35), a resident of Bilsi village in Kanpur five years ago.

Lalit told that Sarojini was 6 months pregnant. He told that he had gone to Kisakheda with daughter Tamanna. Sarojini was alone.

When he returned home with daughter on Sunday. When stopped at a shop his daughter moved ahead. She was disturbed to learn dead body lying inside the mosquito net. The daughter ran outside screaming. She informed hits father about the incident.

According to Bidhnu police station in-charge Yogesh Kumar Singh, the woman was murdered with a sharp weapon. The CDR of the woman's mobile is being extracted. Interrogation is in progress.
