KIEV, January 15. /TASS/: Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has decreed to enforce the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council’s resolution on imposing sanctions on 198 individuals, including Russian film director Andrei Konchalovsky, TV host Angelina Vovk, former ambassador of the Lugansk People’s Republic to Russia Rodion Miroshnik, and a number of Russian journalists.
"Under article 107 of the Ukrainian constitution, I decree: to enforce the resolution of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council of January 15, 2023 on the use of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)," according to the presidential decree that was posted on the Ukrainian presidential office’s website on Sunday.
The document comes into effect on the day of publishing.
The sanctions are applied to 198 individuals. They include war carrespondents Semyon Pegov and Yury Kotenok, TV hosts Dmitry Gubernoyev, Ruslan Ostashko, Yevgeny Rozhkov, Boris Korchevnikov, and Yekaterina Berezovskaya, journalists Pavel Zarubin, Marina Akhmedova, Andrey Starikov, Anastasia Popova, Vladimir KObyakov, Maryana Naumova, Anton Stepanenko, Vadim Takmenev, Vladimir Kornilov, blogger Dmitry Puchkov, columnist Nikolay Starikov, producer Yana Rudkovskaya, actors Yegor Beroyev and Evelina Blyodans, singer Yury Loza, and former Moscow region governor Boris Gromov.
Along with Russians, the blacklist has Ukrainian nationals: journalist and TV host Diana Panchenko, political analyst Vasil Vakarov, writer Vladimir Sergiyenko, as well as Belarusian journalist Grigory Azarenon and director general of the Belarusian STV television channel Alexander Osenko.
The sanctions are imposed for a term of ten years and envisage blocking of accounts, suspending economic and financial liabilities, ceasing cultural exchanges and cooperation, banning entry to Ukraine, striping of Ukrainian state awards, and others.
The previous batch of sanctions was imposed on January 7 on 117 individuals, including Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov and pop singer Filipp Kirkorov.
