BEIJING, February 14. /TASS/: The Chinese government strongly opposes external forces' interference in Iran's domestic affairs, as well as attempts to undermine security and stability in the country, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during talks with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday.
"We oppose external forces interfering in Iran's domestic affairs and undermining the country's security and stability, and we intend to continue strong mutual support on key interests," China Cental Television quoted Xi Jinping as saying.
According to the Chinese president, the country intends to expand practical cooperation with Iran in such areas as agriculture, industry and infrastructure construction.
Iran's president is on an official visit to China from February 14 to 16 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Raisi is accompanied by a delegation that includes several members of the government, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Finance and Economic Affairs Minister Ehsan Khandouzi, Oil Minister Javad Owji, and Central Bank of Iran Governor Mohammad Reza Farzin.
