Russia records 11,985 daily COVID cases, 37 deaths — crisis center

MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/: Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 11,985 over the past day to 22,423,093, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Sunday.

A day earlier, 12,241 daily cases were recorded.

As many as 758 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, down 52.4% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in ten regions, while in 71 regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in four regions. A day earlier, 1,594 people were rushed to hospitals.

Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 2,015 over the past day versus 2,214 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,444,804, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,193 over the past day versus 1,302 a day earlier, reaching 1,893,771.

COVID-19 recoveries

Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 11,218 over the past day, reaching 21,770,130, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.

A day earlier some 14,481 patients recovered.

COVID-19 death toll

Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 37 over the past day, reaching 396,586, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.

A day earlier 42 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
