MOSCOW, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said after talks with Russia's Vladimir Putin on Monday that it would soon be possible to revive the grain deal that the United Nations says helped to ease a food crisis by getting Ukrainian grain to market.

Russia quit the deal in July - a year after it was brokered by the United Nations and Turkey - complaining that its own food and fertiliser exports faced serious obstacles.

YUZHNO-SAKHALINSK, September 3. /TASS/: Japan is becoming increasingly more involved in a confrontation with Russia by providing military aid to Ukraine, Deputy Head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said.

"It is also bad that Japan located nearby is more and more actively providing aid to the Kiev regime and pulling itself into the military confrontation," Medvedev said during his visit to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

MOSCOW, September 3. /TASS/: Four ships have sailed through the temporary corridor in the Black Sea, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said on Sunday.

"Four ships have already passed along our new alternative maritime corridor from our southern seaports," he said in a video address on his Telegram channel.

The Hong Kong-flagged Joseph Schulte container vessel was the first to sail along Kiev’s temporary corridor from the port of Odessa on August 16.

MOSCOW, September 3 /TASS/: The Russian Aerospace Force delivered a group drone strike against fuel storage facilities used to support Ukrainian army materiel, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"The Russian Aerospace Force made a group strike by unmanned aerial vehicles this night against fuel storages used for supplies to military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the port of Reni, Odessa Region. The strike objective was achieved. All the designated targets were engaged," the ministry said.

MOSCOW, September 4. /TASS/: Two drones were destroyed by Russian air defenses over the Black Sea off Crimea and over the Kursk Region, as Kiev made yet another attempt to attack Russian facilities, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday.

"At about 1:00 a.m. today, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terror attack on facilities on Russian soil with the use of two unmanned aerial vehicles was foiled. [Russian] air defense forces on duty destroyed the Ukrainian UAVs over the Black Sea off the Crimean Peninsula and over the Kursk Region," the ministry said.

Sept 3 (Reuters) - Traffic on the main bridge linking the Russian mainland with the Crimean Peninsula resumed after a brief suspension early on Sunday, the Russian-installed operator of the bridge said on the Telegram messaging app.

The administration did not disclose the reason for the suspension. Russia annexed the Crimean Peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 in a move condemned by many Western governments as illegal.

The Crimean Bridge has been a target of increased air and sea drone attacks in recent months.

02 September 2023; MEMO: Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will hold talks with Turkish President, Tayyip Erdogan, on Monday in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi, the Kremlin said on Friday, Reuters reports.

MOSCOW, September 2. /TASS/: Artillery of the battlegroup East has struck a Ukrainian drone control center in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Oleg Chekhov, a spokesman for the battlegroup, told TASS.

"Rocket and cannon artillery hit the command center of Ukrainian territorial defense units in the area to the west of Vremevka <...>, a strongpoint with a satellite communication station near Novodarovka and a control point of Ukrainian unmanned aviation north of Vladimirovka," he said.

MOSCOW, September 2. /TASS/: Moscow is concerned about the tendency of the US, UK and French representatives to abuse their powers in the UN Security Council, including when it comes to peacekeeping efforts, the Russian Foreign Ministry said after the council adopted a resolution to extend the mandate of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon.
