Anti-Iran hype by Austrian media slammed

London, IRNA – The Iranian embassy in Vienna has condemned certain Austrian media outlets for raising unfounded allegations on child abuse in Iran.

The Iranian embassy in Vienna issued a statement, which was uploaded on its Twitter account, warning that Austrian media disappointed of their failed attempts to distort realities and angry with Iran’s progresses and its expansion of regional interactions continue to publish such lies.

The statement added that but they could not conceal facts forever from the public opinion in the West.

Iran slams France’s lack of commitment to human rights

Tehran, IRNA – Spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Nasser Kanaani has criticized France for its lack of commitment to human rights principles.

In a tweet posted on Sunday, Kanaani referred to an ongoing police crackdown on anti-government protests in France as he urged the government in Paris to stop using human rights for political purposes.

“Efforts by the French police to resort to violence against protests by citizens of this country is unacceptable,” he said in his Farsi tweet.

Iran announces work to resume flights to Saudi Arabia

15 Mar 2023; MEMO: The Iranian Civil Aviation Organisation announced yesterday that work is underway to resume flights with Saudi Arabia, following an agreement concluded between Tehran and Riyadh on Friday to restore bilateral ties.

This came in statements made by the spokesperson of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organisation (CAO), Jafar Yazerlou.

Iran, Belarus ink deals to boost comprehensive cooperation

TEHRAN, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Belarus on Monday set a roadmap for expanding their comprehensive cooperation and signed seven cooperation agreements in the fields of trade, transportation, agriculture and culture.

The roadmap was signed by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his visiting Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in a ceremony held in Tehran, according to the website of the president's office.

Iran grants amnesty to tens of thousands of prisoners

Addressing a meeting of the top judiciary council, Mohseni Ejei said that the pardons have been issued following a decree by Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, last month.

At Least Seven Killed As Explosion Levelled Three Residential Buildings In Iran

TEHRAN, Mar 13 (NNN-IRNA) – At least seven people were killed and five others were injured, as three residential buildings collapsed entirely yesterday, due to an explosion in the north-western Iranian city of Tabriz, semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The explosion, which occurred at 03:00 a.m. local time (2330 GMT), in a two-story building, completely levelled the building and two neighbouring ones, said Mohammad-Baqer Honarbar, director general of East Azarbaijan province’s Crisis Management Organisation.

Iran- Saudi political ties to lead to cease-fire in Yemen: Tehran

12 Mar 2023; MEMO: Iran said the resumption of political relations with Saudi Arabia will accelerate efforts aimed at reaching a cease-fire in war-torn Yemen, Anadolu reports.

"The relations between Riyadh and Tehran are important at three bilateral, regional, and international levels," Iran's permanent mission to the United Nations said in a statement cited by the state news agency IRNA.

Iran says initial deal reached with US for prisoner swap

12 Mar 2023; MEMO: Iran and the United States have reached an agreement to exchange prisoners, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian told state TV on Sunday, adding that he hoped the exchange would take place soon, Reuters reports.

"Regarding the issue of prisoner swaps between Iran and the US we have reached an agreement in the recent days and if everything goes well on the U.S. side, I think we will witness a prisoner exchange in a short period," Amirabdollahian said.
