Tehran, IRNA – Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi ordered the health minister to leverage all existing capacities in the country to contain the recent surge in the coronavirus spread.
Raisi told health minister and Khorasan Razavi Province governor-general in separate telephone calls to pursue the condition of coronavirus patients in the country and in Khorasan Razavi Province.
He underlined that all capacities in the country be deployed to acceleration containment of the spread of the virus and treatment of all patients and gave required orders.
Iran has recently seen a sheer growth in the number of new cases and deaths, with the new strain of the coronavirus called Delta spreading fast throughout the country.
