Kanpur: National Highway Authority of India will clear encroachments through a drive. In this regard the project director, NHAI, Purushottam Chaudhary said that the encroachments would be removed through launching a drive. Wherever was found encroachment on the national highway, it could be strongly dealt with. Strict action will be initiated if encroahers extend to its land.
The encroachments on the road from Ramadevi to Bhauti would soon start. The survey has already been completed by the department officials. Hundreds of encroahers were removed from Naubasta to Hamirpur area.
As accidents were occurring due to the encroachments the NHAI steps up to vacate encroahed land. The project director has sent a letter to the District Magistrate requesting him to make police force available for the drive.
