India: Aryanagar MLA urges Kesco MD for corrective steps

Kanpur: Samajwadi party MLA Amitabh Bajpai has a distinct way of registering protest on issues plaguing the common man. The Aryanagar legislature approached the electricity headquarters to submit his memorandum highlighting at least ten demands. Wearing a black T-shirt with a logo of danger that is normally displayed on power equipment, he wanted to insist upon the problems persisting in different areas and raised demand for swift rectification.

He urged the KESco MD to avoid laying of underground cable side by side of the water pipeline. A transparent policy in providing new power connection should be followed. The consumers should also get appeal facility in the enquiry report submitted by the raid team. Broken or slanted poles should be changed by initiating special drive. Wherever the transformer is installed there must be arranged light.

The garbage around the transformers should also be removed punctually. He did not fail to mention the removal of touts from the sub-stations. Frequent disruption in power supply needs to be rectified, he started.
