Modi has “crossed the limit” says former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has said that the Modi’s government has taken lot of steps which are not in the interest of the country, and has “crossed the limit”.

Singh, speaking to a rally at the Ramlila ground in New Delhi, said its time to for the opposition to discard their differences and unite to “to save” the sovereignty and democracy of the country.

Mr Singh said that the Modi government has failed to fulfil the promises it made to all sections of the society and youth, farmers and common people - are unhappy.

According to The Hindu, “United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi was also present at the rally, held at the Ramlila ground in New Delhi, but did not speak.”

“Making his first appearance after returning from a Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, Mr. Gandhi began the bandh after paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. The bandh began after Mr. Gandhi offered holy water from the lake.”, reported The Hindu.
