 Nirbhaya's mother n convicts

Nirbhaya’s mother has approached Delhi Mahila Ayog to enquire the reason for delay in hanging her daughter’s rapists and murderers.

Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi said that she wants justice for her daughter, which cannot be done until murderers are hanged.

According to Punjab Kesary, Asha Devi lodged a complaint with DCW in July, asking why it’s taking so long to execute the criminals as per the Spreme Court’s verdict in May 2017.

Nirbhaya, a 23-year-old female physiotherapy intern was travelling in a bus on 16 December 2012 when she was beaten, gang raped, and tortured.

There were six in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman and beat her friend. Eleven days after the assault, she was transferred to a hospital in Singapore for emergency treatment but died from her injuries two days later.

Accused and convicted are Ram Singh, Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Unnamed juvenile, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Thakur.
