KANPUR: Kanpur University is seriously focusing on paperless work.
It aims to put a hold on the wastage of papers and for this purpose, it has taken one more step.
This will even help minimise expenses on the stationary.
Reminding of the computer-based test for IIT entrance examinations three years back Prof Vinay Pathak, vice-chancellor, said that it was a useful experience.
Paperless work will benefit in two different ways: Firstly, there will be stopped paper wastage and second there will be no costs on stationary.
As many as 200 students will appear at the examinations in one go. The experiment will begin from the next session.
Exams Like BBA, BCA, B Tech, Pharmacy and other professional courses can be held through a paperless system.
All the applications for admission, certificates, migration certificate, are being entertained by online procedures.
About 100 applications in this regard are being received at the university every day.
