India: Not goats but its fodder (dry leaves) vanishing sooner from sale in Jajmau

Kanpur: The theory of demand and supply gets blew up on the roadside sale of the dry leaves that the goats love to eat. Goats are abundant but fodder stock for goats are vanishing sooner.

The demand for green goolar leaves suddenly rises as the goat's purchasers needed the leaves for feeding the sacrificial animals.

It is for the first time there was glimpsed a different scene in the Jajmau area. The stock of the sellers soon vanished due to higher demand.

The customers were found to be paying double the amount for securing the leaves. Usually the goolar leaves were selling at Rs 20 but it escalated to Rs 50.

Some customers were waiting for the arrival of another stock. Two middle-aged persons standing near the spot said that the seller has assured us to bring another stock. So we were awaiting him.

At another spot, it was seen a crowd of purchasers buying the leaves. One person in a frenetic bid to ensure his share of leaves fell over the stock.

Some maintained that there was not a paucity in stock of the leaves. The sellers are bringing a limited quantity to increase the price of leaves.

A lot of people were overheard saying neither the green leaves nor the goats in the market are short of supply. The sellers are only applying tactics to increase the price.
