Iran says to ensure "maximum security" for Azerbaijani embassy after armed attack

TEHRAN, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said on Monday his country will ensure "maximum security" for Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.

He made the remarks at a weekly press conference in Tehran, commenting on a January deadly attack on Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, after which Baku decided to shut down the mission, according to a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Kanaani said Iran is well aware of its responsibility of ensuring the security of diplomatic missions on its soil and will act responsibly in this regard.

Militants in southeast Iran attack a police station and kill 2 security forces, state TV says

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Four militants attacked a police station in southeastern Iran and killed two security forces, state TV reported Saturday.

Iran exports $19 bn of crude oil Jan-May

Tehran, IRNA – The latest data released by the Energy Information Administration of the United States (EIA) shows that Iran has exported $19 billion of crude oil in the first five months of 2023.

The EIA said in its latest report said that the total oil export of 13 OPEC members in the five months to June 2023 was $293 billion.

The EIA has estimated Iran's total oil revenue in the mentioned period at $19 billion, which is equal to 6.5% of OPEC's total oil exports in the mentioned period.
