Hamas Dismissed Israeli Statement On Unveiling New Tunnel

GAZA, Aug 16 (NNN-WAFA) – Israel claims that it has discovered a tunnel underneath the border between the regime and the Gaza Strip, which Hamas has dismissed as nothing more than an attempt by the Israelis to cover up their “crimes.”

“The occupation (regime) is marketing fake achievements and victories, to the Israeli society, to use it in its electoral bazaar,” said Hamas spokesman, Fawzi Barhoum, in a statement, yesterday.

In an exclusive statement to Donia Al-Watan newspaper, Al-Zahar said that this news "is completely false," noting that what was circulated was done by "Fatah members".

15 August 2022; MEMO: The head of the Greek Orthodox Church in Jerusalem accused Israeli officials on Sunday of using Palestinian blood for electioneering, Al-Watan Voice has reported.

"Palestinian blood is not cheap to be used for election campaigns," insisted Archbishop Atallah Hanna. "They cannot accept that their blood is used for this dirty cause which reflects a lack of humanity and moral values." The Zionists factions, added the Greek Patriarch, compete in their hostility and hatred of the Palestinians.

14 August 2022; MEMO: Around 20 years ago, Mohammad Nassar, 62, lost his son, Shadi, who was participating in resistance activities against the Israeli occupation during the second Palestinian intifada, Anadolu Agency reports.

Nassar has since been in a constant struggle to retrieve Shadi's body from Israeli authorities.

OIC challenged over failure to stand up for Palestinian Rights

15 August 2022; MEMO: NGOs and Civil Society Networks from Europe, Asia, North America and Africa have signed an open letter to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation criticising their silence over the recent attacks on Palestinians and their increasing silence over the issue of Palestine.

The letter, organised by the Decolonial International Network and the Universal Justice Network, is co-signed by dozens of organisations and networks from as far afield as Nigeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Iran, UK, Lebanon and Pakistan.

It also suggested that Meshaal and Hamas do not want to overstep the boundaries set for such visits, especially in light of the absence of official or political relations between Hamas and the Jordanian government.
