According to the lawyer of the PLO Prisoners' and Freed Prisoners' Commission, Heba Aghbariyeh, most of the children in question were subjected to such torture.

10 May 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Authority called on Monday for the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate Israel's plan to expel the residents of twelve Palestinian villages in Masafer Yatta, to the south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

Aligarh (UP), May 8 (PTI) A policeman was suspended on Sunday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl related to him in a village here, officials said.

The action against the constable, who was posted in Bulandshahr district, came after a report from the Aligarh senior superintendent of police about the incident that took place on Friday.

According to the police, the girl is from Kasgunj district, and she was visiting a relative in the village near Atrauli.

09 May 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Authority (PA) yesterday called on the international community to stop Israel's field execution of Palestinians, Anadolu reported.

In a statement, PA Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said: "Israel's horrific crimes committed against our people make interreference of international community necessary to stop the organised Israeli terrorism and protect our people."

09 May 2022; MEMO: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett claimed on Sunday that Israel alone has sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem, and there is no foreign interference, Israeli media reported.

At the start of the weekly meeting of his cabinet, Bennett said: "All decisions regarding the Temple Mount [Al-Aqsa Mosque] and Jerusalem will be made by the Israeli government, which holds sovereignty over the city, without any foreign considerations."

06 May 2022; MEMO: A mosque affiliated with Turkiye's Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) in France's north-eastern province of Metz was attacked on Thursday night, Anadolu News Agency reports.

The mosque was damaged in a fire that broke out after unknown persons lobbed three Molotov cocktails on the walls of the mosque.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Ali Durak, President of the Mosque Association, said the mosque was saved from being completely burned down at the last moment.

07 May 2022; MEMO: The European Union (EU) on Friday criticised the Israeli Supreme Court's ruling for evicting more than 1,300 Palestinians from Masafer Yatta, south of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

"Under international law, individual or mass forcible transfers and deportation of protected persons from occupied territories are prohibited, regardless of their motive," the EU tweeted. "As the occupying power, Israel has the obligation to protect the Palestinian population and not displace it."

07 May 2022; MEMO: Jordan authorities issued Friday warning against Israeli plan to evict 1,300 Palestinians living in eight villages in the South Hebron Hills, a statement reported by the official Petra news agency said.

The statement, which was issued by Jordanian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Haitham abu al Foul, also warned against Israeli plans to approve the construction of 4,988 illegal settlement units in other areas of the occupied West Bank.
