MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/: Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has prepared a list of the top countries, where cyber attacks originate, at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin, handing over this list to reporters.

"In the first half of 2020, the leaders among all countries where all types of cyber attacks originated are: the US, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, the UK," Peskov said, citing LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/: Russia states that tension on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan has abated in the past few weeks, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

"Over the past few weeks, it has been possible to reduce the tension as a whole. The corresponding consultations on settling the border dispute will continue," the Russian diplomat said.

Russia continues active mediatory efforts aimed at de-escalating the situation, the spokeswoman said.

MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/: At least several months are needed for the implementation of agreements reached by Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Joe Biden in Geneva on June 16, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"Yes, some time is needed to implement the understandings reached during yesterday’s discussion," Peskov said.

MOSCOW, June 17 (Reuters) - Jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny mocked President Vladimir Putin on Thursday for accusing him of knowingly breaking the law when he was evacuated from Russia last year in a coma.

Navalny was flown to Germany in August after being poisoned with what German doctors would later say was a military-grade nerve agent. He was unconscious in a coma at the time.

MOSCOW, June 16. /TASS/: The authors of the European Union’s strategy on Russia, drawn up for the bloc’s summit due on June 24-25, have problems with the knowledge of history and perceiving the reality, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel on Wednesday.

The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, earlier announced that the strategy would be based on three principles — pushing back, constraining, and engaging with Moscow at the same time.

KRASNODAR, June 16. /TASS/: International military drills make it possible to practice troop interoperability, and deployments to large distances, Deputy Commander of the Belarusian Special Operations Forces Colonel Vladimir Beliy said at the opening of the Slavic Brotherhood-2021 maneuvers of Russia, Belarus, and Serbia on Wednesday.

The active phase of the Slavic Brotherhood-2021 international drills involving almost 1,000 troops from Russia, Belarus, and Serbia kicked off at the Rayevsky practice range near Novorossiysk in Russia’s south on June 16.

MOSCOW, June 16. /TASS/: Russia confirmed 13,397 daily COVID-19 cases, bringing the total case tally to 5,249,990, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Wednesday.

In relative terms, the coronavirus cases grew by 0.26%. 

The lowest growth rates were recorded over the past day in the Chukotka Autonomous Region (0%), the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Republic of Adygea, and North Ossetia (0.05%), the Tuva Republic, and Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (0.06%).

MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/: Russia is not going to extend easing of requirements for migrants, which has been in effect since April 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, a source in the law enforcement agencies told TASS.

Under the presidential decree that came into force in April 2020, all foreign citizens were allowed to temporarily stay and work in the country legally. In addition, foreigners who were staying in the country illegally received the opportunity to settle their legal status without any sanctions. The decree remains in effect until June 15 this year.

MOSCOW, June 14. /TASS/: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Russia grew by 13,721 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of infected to 5,222,408, the federal anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Monday.

On the previous day, Russia registered a new high of 14,723 coronavirus cases since February 13. The number of cases recorded on one day was down for the first time in 11 days. The increase in new cases totaled 0.26% in relative terms.
