Exports from Iran’s Sarakhs to Turkmenistan tripled thanks to recent agreements

Mashhad, IRNA – The governor of Sarakhs County in northeast Iran said that recent agreements reached by Iranian and Turkmen officials has led to exports from the county to Turkmenistan to triple.

Mohammad-Reza Rajabi told IRNA on Thursday that border interactions and trade traffic have increased between Iran and Turkmenistan in light of prioritizing relations with neighbors in this administration.

Iran warns nuclear talks will fail unless US provides guarantees

04 Nov 2021; MEMO: Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary-General Ali Shamkhani said yesterday that negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers will fail unless US President Joe Biden provides guarantees that Washington will not withdraw from the deal "again".

"The US President, lacking authority, is not ready to give guarantees. If the current status quo continues, the result of negotiations is clear," Shamkhani said on Twitter.

Iran thwarts U.S. attempt to seize Iranian oil in Sea of Oman: state TV

TEHRAN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- The naval force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have thwarted a U.S. attempt to take over the Iranian oil in the Sea of Oman, state TV reported.

"The U.S. (forces) confiscated a tanker carrying Iranian exported oil in the waters of the Sea of Oman and transferred the shipment to another tanker trying to lead it to an unknown destination," said the report without specifying the date of the action.

Iran Warns Against Israeli Threats, Calls U.S. Military Flight Over Regional Waters “Provocative”

TEHRAN, Nov 2 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, yesterday warned against what he called, regional threats of Israel and called the latest U.S.-led military flight over regional waters “provocative.”

When asked about the allocation of 1.5 billion U.S. dollars by Israel, to counter Iran’s nuclear programme, Saeed Khatibzadeh said, Iran has never ruled out or ignored the threats posed by Israel, against stability and security in the region.

Iran urges U.S. to take "practical" measures for holding talks

TEHRAN, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- For any form of talks with the United States, Washington should first take "practical" steps, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said on Monday.

Iran hasn't had any direct or indirect talks with the United States since the latter's unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in 2018, Khatibzadeh told reporters during his weekly press conference.

Iran accuses IAEA of 'leaking confidential data'

29 Oct 2021; MEMO: Iran yesterday accused the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of "publishing confidential data about Iran", warning that it will take all "necessary measures to put an end to this problem."

Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi, said in a statement that the dissemination of secret information had become a "method adopted by the agency," explaining that the organisation "from time to time publishes detailed and partial information on Iranian nuclear data."

Iran: Nuclear deal talks to begin before end of November

28 Oct 2021; MEMO: Iran's talks with six world powers aimed at reviving a 2015 nuclear deal will resume by the end of November, its top nuclear negotiator said yesterday, Reuters reports.

"Had a very serious & constructive dialogue with @enriquemora_ on the essential elements for successful negotiations. We agree to start negotiations before the end of November," Ali Bagheri Kani wrote on Twitter after meeting EU officials in Brussels.

"Exact date would be announced in the course of the next week," he added.

Iran's top leader calls regional states' normalization of ties with Israel "mistake"

TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Sunday that the attempt of some regional states to normalize relations with Israel is "a great sin and mistake," according to the official news agency IRNA.

The governments, which recently established diplomatic relations with Israel, "must turn away from this anti-Islamic movement and make up for their great mistakes," said Khamenei.

He urged for the unity among Muslim states to "restore Palestinians' rights" in the face of Israeli occupation of their lands.

Iran Urges UN Action Against Israeli Threats To Nuke Programme

TEHRAN, Oct 21 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, Majid Takht Ravanchi, called for an action by the UN Security Council (UNSC), to tackle rising Israeli threats to Tehran’s nuclear programme.

In a letter to the UNSC on Tuesday, Takht Ravanchi said, over the past months, the number and intensity of Israel’s “provocative and adventuristic threats” to Iran’s nuclear programme have consistently grown and reached an alarming level.

Iran, Turkey sign security cooperation memorandum

TEHRAN, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi and his Turkish counterpart, Suleyman Soylu, met in Tehran on Wednesday and signed a memorandum of understanding on security matters, Iran's PressTV reported on Thursday.

"We had very good discussions, the relations between the two countries are very strong and deep," Vahidi told the press after the meeting.
